RVs with Soothing and Warming Electric Fireplaces

A fireplace is the singular item in a home that seems to automatically calm the senses and warm the soul. Sitting around the hearth, absorbing the heat, and watching the flickering flames with loved ones brings joy and imprints those memories forever. So it’s no surprise that RV manufacturers have embraced including faux fireplaces as a part of many entertainment centers found in motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, and even a few pickup campers and teardrops.
These fireplaces are actually fancy electric wall heaters with High/Low settings and designed with innovative LED “flame” technology of either crystal or faux log bedding to give the illusion of the real McCoy without the smoke and fire hazard of a real crackling fire. They provide a quick source of heat for cooler fall days and are a good supplemental heating system for those really cold winter days when an RV’s forced-air system might need a little boost.
RV fireplaces come in a wide range of sizes, shapes, and styles from numerous manufacturers like Furrion, RecPro, Greystone, and Lippert, to name a few. If your RV doesn’t have a fireplace, one can usually be easily installed if space and existing wiring allow. Here we’ve highlighted a selection of various RVs with very comfortable living rooms that feature a fireplace as standard or as an option.

Host Industries Yukon 11.5
Fireplaces in pickup campers are rare, but of those that do have the feature, one of the best setups can be found in the 2023 triple-slide Yukon 11.5 (MSRP: $74,402) from Host Campers. The 26-inch, 1,500-watt Intertek faux-log curved fireplace sits against the cab wall below the big-screen TV entertainment center. The living area is huge, thanks to opposing slideouts and a rear slide. A U-shaped dinette comes standard or you have the option of a 6-foot couch with a removable table or theater seating. Also, the driver’s-side slide-out can house a 4-foot couch, a laundry center, or a full wardrobe. The Yukon’s base weight is 3,955 pounds, and more than three dozen options and extras are available when ordering.

Forest River Georgetown GT7 36K7
Electric fireplaces are quite common in Class A motorhomes. One coach that has a very nice living room fireplace setup can be found in the 2022 Forest River Georgetown GT7 36K7 (MSRP: $212,361). The 34-inch LaVanture Products fireplace sits below the entertainment system, with a storage shelf that separates the two. Comfy, thickly padded recliners, with both heat and massage, sit directly across from the fireplace, so it’s easy to kick back and enjoy the soothing ambiance in this richly appointed 40-foot motorcoach with a king bed, bunk beds, and two full bathrooms.

Intech Luna Rover
Teardrop trailers are quite tiny when compared to most RVs, and one of the last RVs where one would expect to see an electric fireplace. But leave it to innovative manufacturer inTech to find a way to do just that to make an already comfortable interior even more relaxing. The company’s 15-foot, 5-inch 1,800-pound 2023 Luna Rover (MSRP: $22,482) is a roomy teardrop that offers a small electric fireplace as one of the options. The fireplace, with a built-in thermostat and multiple light settings for the flame, is located by the futon sofa and tucked into the rear wall that separates the interior from the external galley outfitted with a farmhouse-style sink, two-burner cooktop, and 40-quart 12-volt cooler.

Jayco Eagle HT FW 24RE
A beautiful fireplace setting in a fifth wheel is located in the living room of the 2023 Jayco Eagle HT FW 24RE (MSRP: $61,725). Unlike most RV electric fireplaces, the 29-foot Eagle’s $600 option stands by itself with a large mantle under one of the unit’s rear windows, and adjacent to the entertainment center. This places the fireplace as a more prominent feature in the airy, open living area of this half-ton-towable fiver featuring a trifold sofa (or optional theater seating) in the unit’s single slide. This Eagle sleeps up to six, and buyers can choose between American Craftsman and Modern Farmhouse for interior decor.

Forest River Riverstone 442MC
When it comes to high-end fivers with a fireplace, the five-slide 2023 Riverstone 442MC (Man Cave) is near the top. The 44-foot, 19,131-pound (UVW) fifth-wheel actually has two bedrooms: The one in the rear is called the “Man Cave” because it has a 40-inch TV, a big fireplace, and a sofa bed that provides a quiet space away from the central living area with its island kitchen. The 5,200-Btu fireplace in the Man Cave is part of the mandatory Riverstone Luxury Package. It sits below the big screen and provides plenty of heat to keep the room toasty even in the coldest weather. At the opposite end of the 442MC (MSRP: $175,000) is a bedroom with a king-sized bed, a wardrobe, and washer-and-dryer hookups.

Dutchmen Kodiak Ultimate 3301BHSL
A cozy living room setup with an electric fireplace can be found in Keystone RV’s 2023 Dutchmen Kodiak 3301BHSL (MSRP: $63,872.) This 37-foot, 7,100-pound (dry) twin-slide travel trailer has the fireplace in its own standalone enclosure adjacent to the galley and next to the door leading into the rear bunkhouse. The fireplace enclosure has a knickknack or storage cubby below the marble top. Opposite the fireplace is a slide-out with a pair of comfortable rocker recliners and a booth-style dinette. Exterior pass-through storage is up front under the king-sized bed, and outside at the rear of the 3301BHSL is a mini fridge housed in a storage cubby.
