Outdoor gear and camping equipment manufacturer Dometic has debuted a line of inflatable shelters for use at the campsite. The company recently unveiled a rooftop tent and a free-standing shelter that do away with traditional metal or fiberglass poles in favor of Dometic’s AIR Frame technology. This approach drastically reduces weight and set-up time while maintaining weather resistance and comfort.

The Dometic TRT 140 Air rooftop tent is designed for use on compact cars, hatchbacks, and pickup trucks. It features a single point of inflation that allows it to be set up in under two minutes using an included 12V portable pump. The tent is made from durable 300D ripstop polyester Weathershield materials and has integrated mesh windows on four sides, providing excellent ventilation while keeping insects at bay.

A lightweight telescoping aluminum ladder allows for easy access to the tent, which comfortably sleeps two on its integrated foam mattress. Storage pockets on both the inside and outside of the tent are perfect for holding essential gear, like a smartphone, headlamp, or flashlight. An optional accessory awning is available in two sizes, adding additional sun and rain protection.

For RVers, overlanders, and car campers looking for a shelter that is quick and easy to set up, Dometic now offers the HUB 2 Redux. This shelter inflates in seconds, providing shade from the sun or protection from rain and snow. Guy lines offer additional stability in windy conditions, and optional mesh side panels can be added for further defense against the elements.

The HUB 2 Redux uses environmentally-friendly polyester fabrics made from recycled water bottles. The standalone shelter weighs less than 19 pounds and folds down incredibly small when not in use, making it easy to carry with you in a vehicle or on a hiking trip into the backcountry.

Both products are available now, with the TRT 140 rooftop tent selling for $2500 and the Hub 2 Redux shelter priced at $749.99. For more information, visit the Dometic website.
