What is a Toy Hauler?
Toy haulers are a subset of RVs with a dedicated garage for carrying motorized off-road vehicles, bikes, kayaks, and other outdoor gear. As an added bonus, the ramp on many toy haulers converts into a patio, extending the vehicle’s living space to the outdoors.
When the garage space isn’t being used for storage, most toy haulers allow owners to convert the space into a bunk house, second bedroom, or an additional living room. Many include a second bathroom that is accessible from the garage area, which adds conveniences when traveling with friends and family. These styles of RVs are often perfect for large groups, with some models comfortably sleeping up to 15 people.
While the majority of toy haulers are fifth-wheels and travel trailers, there are a few Class A and C models, too. Brinkley Model G
A relative newcomer to the RV space, Brinkley has made waves with its luxury fifth-wheel trailers, including the Model G. This toy hauler has a long list of features and amenities, including a walk-in closet, a u-shaped sofa, and a fireplace. The kitchen has an island with two stools, a pull-out pantry, a convection microwave/air fryer, and a massive refrigerator with 19 cubic feet of storage space.

The size of the Voltage’s garage varies from 13′ – 18′ depending on the floorplan. Like other toy haulers, the room pulls double-duty as a dining area, sleep space, and lounge, with sleeper sofas, lofted beds, and Happijac power bunks to provide additional places to crash for the night. The largest model comfortably supports up to 12 passengers, making it an excellent option for hauling motorized off-road vehicles and the entire pit crew. MSRP starts at $153,000.

Thor Outlaw
If you want a toy hauler but prefer motorized RVs over towables, Thor has you covered. The upscale brand offers its Outlaw model in both Class A and Class C form factors. Both options have stylish and well-appointed interiors with plenty of storage space, modern appliances, and enough room for up to seven people, depending on the floorplan.

The Outlaw has a smaller garage compared to most towable toy haulers, with the Class A model offering a 10′ long storage space, while the Class C is limited to 8′ in length. That’s still enough room to carry motorcycles, e-bikes, or a small ATV. On most floorplans, the area is left empty, allowing owners to customize it to meet their needs. The Canyon Star is available in two floorplans, one of which has a 10′ garage but no deck, while the other comes with an 8′ storage space and a rear patio.
