The nearly 25-minute video above takes us into the nitty-gritty of this new vehicle, with insights into how it is made and what separates it from the competition. When building the Loft, Rossmönster opted to utilize the popular Mercedes Sprinter 144 chassis, which brings a host of benefits straight from the factory. Those include features like all-wheel drive, a powerful diesel engine, solid towing capacity, the MBUX infotainment system, and a variety of driver assist features like adaptive cruise control and hill descent assist. It also offers excellent reliability and comfort, which is why it is arguably the most commonly used platform for building Class B coaches.
But Rossmönster wasn’t content to simply utilize the standard Mercedes box van cabin. Instead, it built its own custom composite box, vacuum-infused shell designed to fit over the Sprinter 144 chassis. The result is an interior space that is roomier, more durable, and built for four-season outings. It also makes the Loft the first molded-body Class B adventure van that’s made in America.

The Loft’s unique design brings plenty of advantages, including more livable interior space that offers more room for amenities. Highlights include a plush queen-size bed mounted on an elevator that rises out of the way when not needed. A nearby dinette quickly converts into a second bed, giving the van room to comfortably sleep four. The dinette table can be partially or fully removed to create enough cargo space for bikes, skis, a paddleboard, or other outdoor gear. Perhaps best of all, an innovative shower flanks the main entrance, pulling double duty as a mudroom after a long day on the trail. Like other elements of the van’s interior, the shower’s privacy wall quickly slides out of the way when not in use, freeing up interior space in the process.
“Giving one space two jobs is hard to do well, and doing it without making the whole thing complicated is even harder,” Rossmönster Co-founder and CEO Luke Farny said in a press release announcing the Loft . “The engineering team nailed both with this seemingly simple design, yet there is far more to this van than appears at first glance.”

The molded-body doesn’t just bring added interior space. As noted above, this is a true four-season camper, and that’s due in large part because the composite shell provides room for extra insulation. A hydronic heater provides in-floor heat to help take the chill off in colder conditions. The rig also comes with a 1,000Ah lithium house battery, a 3,000W inverter, and a 440W roof-mounted solar panel to provide power when camping off-grid. Everything can be controlled and monitored using a digital control panel, too, adding a touch of modern tech convenience to the mix.
Other features of note include a full wet bath, an induction cooktop, a massive sink, and a mini-fridge in the kitchen. The interior is bright, spacious, and modern with a decidedly residential vibe. The rig also comes with rear Molle panels for keeping gear organized, exterior storage cabinets, and Starlink prep. An adjustable suspension is an available upgrade.
