Fans of vintage RVs will find a lot to love with the Sellwood travel trailer from Aero Teardrops. Small and lightweight, this towable looks like something your grandparents would have camped in during the 1950s and 60s. Its “canned ham” design and retro styling convey a sense of nostalgia for a bygone era of family travel. But look a little deeper, and you’ll find a thoroughly modern camper with plenty of features and amenities.

The video above takes us on a tour of this intriguing trailer, which weighs just 2800 pounds and can comfortably sleep five. The unit is fully insulated and comes with a propane furnace that makes it perfect for four-season camping. It even has LED lighting inside and out and is pre-wired for 12-volt and 120-volt power.

One of the more impressive features of the Sellwood is its hardwood cabinetry found throughout the interior. The camper has plenty of storage, with drawers, closets, and cabinets occupying nearly every bit of unused space. Best of all, the look of those wooden fixtures stays true to the trailer’s vintage design, adding to the retro feel.

Other nice features include four stabilizing jacks, an onboard water heater, and marine-grade windows that provide plenty of natural light. The trailer is pre-wired for solar and comes with 20- or 40-gallon fresh- and gray-water tanks depending on the configuration. An external shower and a hitch mount receiver for a bike rack are optional.

Inside the Sellwood, you’ll find a kitchen with a microwave, refrigerator, three-burner stove, and a stainless steel sink. A flat-panel TV comes standard and connects to a DVD player and Bluetooth sound system. The four-person dinette converts into a bed, while the couch in the rear lounge does the same. The model in the video also comes with a bathroom equipped with a shower, composting toilet, and a roof vent.

All of this fits inside a towable that is just 17 feet long and has an internal height of 6 feet, 7 inches. Best of all, its vintage styling gives it an understated charm that is lacking in most other travel trailers.
