Introducing The RVibrake Shadow Braking System

A Permanent Solution for RV Flat Towing

Image Caption: PC RVi

Flat towing is a great option for large RV owners. It gives you the ability to tow your vehicle safely behind your RV so you can easily get around once you reach your destination.

Instead of trying to navigate one-way city streets in a 34-foot RV, you’ll be able to unhook a passenger vehicle and explore with ease. But flat towing safely requires a high-quality braking system, like the RVibrake Shadow.

This braking system’s short installation time is one of its best features, especially when you consider that most other systems require 6-8 hours of installation time. It boasts a plug-and-play design that allows you to permanently install it quickly, without crimping, soldering, or disassembling parts.

During installation, multi-colored LEDs on the box help you check that you’ve installed it correctly. Once installed, it requires no user setup when you’re ready to tow. With built-in Tow Detection Mode, it recognizes when you’re towing and activates its functionality automatically.

As you tow, the system knows when you’re braking. It senses the inertia of your RV and applies the brake in your tow vehicle proportionally. It also boasts terrain sensing software that reduces less-sensitive braking uphill and more-sensitive braking downhill to deliver more accurate braking on all types of terrain.

It also includes a built-in charging feature so you don’t have to worry about a dead battery in your towed vehicle when you arrive. All vehicles draw some amount of power when in tow mode. This system not only trickle charges vehicles with minimal draws but can also charge up to 10 amps if your tow vehicle happens to have a parasitic drain on the battery while towing.

The Shadow even delivers instant feedback to provide extra peace of mind while towing. On its included seven-inch touchscreen Command Center tablet, you’ll be able to choose your settings, monitor proportional braking in real-time, and receive an alert of any hitch failure that results in a breakaway.

Speaking of that, the RVibrake adheres to RV regulations by delivering breakaway safety in case of a hitch failure. Braking systems are required in 49 out of 50 US states (and all of Canada), which means the RVibrake Shadow will guarantee both the safety and legality of your next RV adventure!
