A Look at the Winnebago Travato 59K

Engineered for extended-season camping, Winnebago’s Travato Class B motorhome combines energy- and fuel-efficient systems with smart appointments to provide an easy-driving and easy-living coach for two. Built on the RAM ProMaster chassis and powered by a 280-hp 3.6-liter V-6 engine, the Travato takes full advantage of its 21-foot structure with an impressive list of standard features available in four floorplans.

The 59K shown here is an open, spacious layout with two twin beds that can combine into a comfy king-size sleeper. The rear wet bath with a fold-down sink offers enough space to get the job done, while the galley is highlighted by a two-burner range with a glass cover, a 12-volt refrigerator/freezer, a stainless-steel sink with Corian cover, and a pull-out counter extension.

An adjustable/removable table offers versatility throughout the interior, and RAM Tough-Track Mounts enable owners to configure their own storage solutions. A Truma Combi eco plus system handles heating duties for the air and the water, and a 2.8-kW genset, 215-watt solar panels, a charge controller, and a 1,000-watt pure sine wave inverter extend capabilities off the grid.

Outside, the side screen door with magnetic closures, a powered patio awning with LED lights, and a propane accessory connection make the Travato a great choice for grilling and chilling.

Gotta Have It: Options include a front-cab air mattress, Ultraleather cab seats, and dual-pane acrylic windows with blackout shades. We’d also select the bike rack, ladder, and luggage rack.

Space Out: A cool rod-mounted curtain system dubbed the Rear Annex provides additional private space outside the coach for an outdoor shower or hanging wet towels and garments.
