Rigs + Gear: Getting Tanked

For all the freedom that comes with towing an RV, the range is still limited by the amount of fuel in the tow vehicle’s tank. To help keep you on the road even longer, Transfer Flow has introduced a gasoline high-capacity replacement fuel tank for 2020-22 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty shortbed, crew cab pickups with 7.3-liter engines.

The 58-gallon Transfer Flow fuel tank system recently passed extensive emissions testing and has been granted an Executive Order from the California Air Resources Board (CARB).

The larger fuel tank increases the truck’s driving range (it’s up to an additional 20 gallons in some cases), reducing the need to refuel as often and allowing the driver to bypass more expensive fuel stations and fill up where gas is more economical.

The Transfer Flow fuel tank is American-made, using 12-gauge aluminized steel for superior strength and corrosion resistance, and includes exterior fuel lines and a highly engineered evaporative emission system. Each fuel tank is equipped with internal baffles for additional durability and to reduce fuel slosh. This system comes with a complete installation kit, including straps and mounting hardware, to get the heavy-duty tank mounted and ready for the road. The tank is covered by a six-year/unlimited-mileage warranty. MSRP: $2,730.41.

Made in the USA: Since 1983, Transfer Flow has been manufacturing OEM and aftermarket fueling tanks in Chico, California. The company is set to expand into Algood, Tennessee, this year.

There’s More! Transfer Flow also offers in-bed auxiliary fuel tanks, refueling tanks (including some in split configurations for two different types of fuel), and retrofit filler neck kits.
