If you need further proof that RVs have gone mainstream, look no further than the latest TV show from Hulu. The Disney-owned streaming service recently shared a preview clip for Big RV Remix, a reality show focusing on renovating motorhomes and travel trailers. And judging from the video—which you can watch above—viewers will get a glimpse of some of the most unique and luxurious RV models ever built.
The hosts of Big RV Remix are Antwon Patton (aka rapper Big Boi from the hip-hop group Outkast) and his business partner and entrepreneur Janice Faison. The duo owns a company called Celebrity Trailers, which rents RVs and travel trailers for use on the set of television shows, movies, commercials, and music videos. The company also specializes in renovating large vehicles, including motorhomes, trailers, Sprinter vans, and school buses. Faison serves as the lead designer for these renovation projects, while Patton brings his eye for fashion and flair to that side of the business. On the show, they’ll use that dynamic to turn outdated and dilapidated vehicles into luxury models with upscale features and amenities.
The preview clip gives viewers a look at what to expect in season one of the new show. That includes a high-profile client in the form of NBA great Shaquille O’Neil, who hires the hosts to remodel his travel trailer. But not all of the clients are quite so famous. Most are just regular people looking to get an amazing, one-of-a-kind upgrade to their RV or a trailer they use for their small business. Based on the video, it seems some fun and interesting design choices are made along the way.
Big RV Remix debuts on Hulu this Friday, July 21. The first season consists of ten episodes. Watch the video above to get a sense of what it’s all about, then get ready to stream the show on your favorite electronic device.
