Camping and fishing have always been two of the most relaxing and enjoyable ways to spend time outdoors. So much so that many RVers look for ways to combine both activities, often seeking out campsites located close to the water. This overlap of anglers who enjoy RV camping hasn’t gone unnoticed, of course, as some manufacturers even offer motorhomes and travel trailers designed specifically with fishing in mind.
Campground owners have also gotten in on the action, creating tranquil destinations strategically placed next to some of the best fishing in the area. As a result, RVers can now stay at a campsite with all of the modern amenities they could ask for and just so happen to be located along a river, lake, or pond teeming with fish.
We’ve scoured the country looking for the best campgrounds where visitors can go fishing during their travels. Here are some of the top places that we found for RVing anglers to book a stay.

Montana is home to some of the best fly fishing in the country, and the Ennis RV Village offers excellent access to those waters. Located not far from Yellowstone National Park, this campground features 112 total spaces, most of which have full hookups, including 30- and 50-amp electrical. Wi-Fi is available throughout the area, and the site includes restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities.
