Fifth-wheels are often considered the pinnacle of towable RVs: they’re decked out with most every feature imaginable, and towing them is easier on a lot of RV operators due to the location of the hitch in relationship to the tow vehicle. One downside is that a heavy-duty truck is often required, significantly adding to the purchase price. At around 7,000 pounds dry weight, the 2023 Highland Ridge Open Range Roamer Light Duty is loaded with an impressive list of standard features and is towable by, well, most light-duty trucks, and chances are you already have one of those in the driveway.
The Roamer Light Duty features vacuum-bonded laminated construction that is reinforced with heavy-duty fiberglass over its sturdy welded-aluminum frame. The 234RLS has a flush-floor slide in the living area, which opens the space for plenty of elbow room for entertaining or while watching the 39-inch TV. The modern interior is highlighted by a 60-by-80-inch queen bed up front, amidship lav, 84-inch bifold rear sofa, residential vinyl flooring, stainless sink, and fridge, and LED lighting throughout.

All Seasons: The mandatory Four Season Package includes beefed-up insulation throughout, a heated underbelly, and a high-performance furnace, among other appointments.
