What’s just over 30′ in length, has a GVWR of 7,600 lbs., and comfortably sleeps ten? Why, the Jayco Jay Flight SLX 261BHS, of course. This travel trailer is built with families in mind, offering plenty of space for everyone, without skimping on features and comfort. And this being a Jayco, you know it has excellent build quality, easy set-up, and plenty of durability, making your time at the campsite more relaxing and enjoyable.

The video above takes us on a thorough walkthrough of this excellent bunkhouse model, giving us a great look at its numerous features, including a roomy dinette, comfy jack-knife sofa, and large primary bedroom with a walk-around queen-size bed. The 261BHS floor plan also comes with a large bathroom and a kitchen outfitted with a three-burner stove with a 16″ oven, dual-basin stainless steel sink, a microwave, and an energy-efficient 12V refrigerator with 10.7 square-foot capacity.

The bunkbeds occupy the rear camp-side portion of the trailer, where you’ll find two bunks in total, each with a 600 lbs. capacity. That’s plenty of support for two adults and, considering the size of the beds themselves, possibly adding a child to the mix. Each bed has easily accessible USB charging ports for your electronic devices, and there is even ample storage under the bottom bunk for supplies and gear. The two bunks provide room for four people, while the primary bedroom holds two more. The dinette and couch both convert into additional sleeping space to achieve the advertised capacity of ten.

Other features of note include a vanity and sink independent of the bathroom for accessibility while the lavatory is in use, and large panoramic windows in the living room for plenty of natural light. A large kitchen pantry—with adjustable shelves—is just part of the onboard storage, with plenty of cabinets, closets, and drawers to go around. The floor plan itself feels very open and spacious, with plenty of room to move around. Jayco was very efficient with the layout, moving the entertainment center to the wall that separates the primary bedroom from the living room, where you’ll find more cabinets, a space to mount a TV, and a Bluetooth wireless audio system.

Outside, the Jay Flight SLX 261BHS comes standard with solar panels on the roof, a powered and illuminated tongue jack, and dual 20 lbs. propane tanks. Diamond plate rock guards protect the exterior of the trailer, while finished pass-through storage offers more places to stash your gear. A powered 16′ awning and outdoor kitchen, with a mini-fridge, is another really nice touch that is somewhat unexpected on a model at this price point. The rig has a fully-walkable roof and has backup camera and ladder prep.

As you’ll see in the video, there is an awful lot to love about the Jayco Jay Flight SLX 216BHS, not the least of which is the price. This travel trailer starts at about $24,995, meaning it delivers a lot of value in a high-quality package. This makes it accessible to a wide audience and is perfect for first-time RVers looking for something that can accommodate the whole family.
