Destination trailers have become more popular in recent years, with Forest River helping to lead the charge. The company has been at the forefront of this market segment, offering new models that seem to expand the size, capabilities, and amenities on a yearly basis. And now, the brand is at it again, this time revealing the all-new Forest River Cedar Creek Cottage 40CMK, a floor plan that redefines the possibilities of this type of RV.

This model just made its public debut, and even though we get an amazing look at it in the video above, it’s so new that it isn’t even on the Forest River website at the time of publication. Still, it’s easy to see why this rig is already receiving so much hype. The interior is well designed, open, and modern, including 6′ 10″ ceiling heights to really add to the grandeur. It’s also very spacious and includes some great features that are more typical in a cabin or small apartment, rather than an RV. Case in point, the amazing rear kitchen with a curved solid surface countertop and an impressively large window that offers stunning views and lots of natural light. Residential appliances, a large pantry, plenty of storage, and integrated shelves are just a few of the additional furnishings.
The living room/dining space is located nearby, complete with a floating table and chairs, a massive L-shaped sofa, and an entertainment center that includes a smart TV and a fireplace. Next up is the equally spacious primary bedroom with a walk-around king bed, dresser, wardrobe, another TV, and washer/dryer prep. Finally, the back of the trailer is occupied by a gigantic bathroom that rivals what you have at home. In addition to offering plenty of floor space, it includes a spa-like shower, another solid surface counter, a porcelain toilet, and three large mirrors. This is definitely a space that needs to be seen to be believed.

When it comes to construction for the Cedar Creek Cottage destination trailer line, Forest River has taken things to the next level. As you’ll see in the video, this model has 3″ thick walls and double-pane windows, which not only help reduce outside noise, but also improve climate control, too. To that end, the rig comes with three air conditioning units and a ceiling fan to help keep the interior as comfortable as possible. And while it may not be a true four-season RV, it will certainly stay cozy even when temperatures take a plunge.
Even if you’re not interested in a destination trailer, you’ll want to watch the video clip above. It shows you exactly what is possible in a modern recreational vehicle, which is a term that is morphing with each passing year. The new Forest River Cedar Creek Cottage 40CMK definitely sets a new standard for what to expect from these types of recreational vehicles, which are changing the way we think about camping and our approach to the RV lifestyle.

As already noted, the Forest River Cedar Creek Cottage 40CMK floor plan is not yet listed on the company’s website. We expect that to be rectified shortly, but to check out the other floor plans available in this line of destination trailers, click here.
