Lippert Components has a new initiative designed to help RVers have more meaningful travel experiences. The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) has announced the seRV With Purpose platform to promote socially responsible adventuring. The goal is to help RV owners explore beyond the campground while having a positive impact on the places they visit.

To achieve this ambitious goal, the seRV platform will help connect travelers with volunteer opportunities at popular RV destinations across the country. In a press release announcing the initiative, Lippert says it is committed to holding a minimum of ten such events each year, with the company’s SeRV Ambassadors serving as hosts.

“During last year’s Getaway, we were fortunate enough to have really impactful conversations with attendees expressing interest in finding ways to give back to the communities they visit while RVing. This inspired us to focus on how we can support the adventuring with purpose movement,” said Michilah Grimes, Director of Corporate and Community Impact at Lippert. “We are so excited to see the incredible impact seRV With Purpose has on communities across the nation.”

According to Lippert, the seRV With Purpose platform will do more than just connect RVers with the company’s ambassadors. It will also have a database of pre-vetted non-profit organizations that travelers can connect with when looking to give a little something back to the communities they visit. The list will provide contact info for those organizations and answer questions like “Is there RV parking available on-site?” and “Are children able to volunteer at this location?”

The SeRV with Purpose program was officially announced at the Lippert 2022 Getaway but won’t become fully active until sometime in 2023. At the annual invite-only event, the company’s cadre of “Lippert Scouts” participated in two volunteer activities. The first of those saw 150 people assist with bagging essential holiday items for underprivileged members of the Boys & Girls Club of the Chattahoochee Valley in Georgia. Meanwhile, another 100 people volunteered to build and maintain trails in Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park in Pine Mountain.

“Since 2017, Lippert employees and their families have amassed more than 600,000 hours of volunteer work, forever changing countless lives,” said Lippert President and CEO Jason Lippert. “If one company can make such a huge impact, imagine the change that could be brought forth by the entire RV community.”
