Jayco Launches JayVoice Activation
Look for select 2022 Jayco luxury fifth wheel models to feature voice-activated commands through JayVoice.

Jayco will introduce a voice-activated multiplex system into select luxury 2022 fifth wheels. Dubbed JayVoice, this will be the first application of voice command technology in the RV industry, providing customers a more intuitive way of interacting with technology.
Standard 2022 models of North Point, Pinnacle, and Seismic Alpha will include JayVoice.
“The JayVoice system is something that we have had in the works over the last several years,” said Jayco’s Mike Aplin, director of product development. “We have been waiting to find the right vendor partner to make this idea come to life. And American Technology Components helped us get there. This idea was based off of our customer and dealer feedback. We are excited to offer this first phase in Model Year 2022.”

JayVoice works in conjunction with the existing JAYCOMMAND system. Therefore, RVers can control functions like A/Cs, lights, furnaces, and more. To use, simply prompt the system with its wake word, Jayco, and the voice receiver on the ceiling will light to indicate it’s listening for commands. Any of the predetermined commands can operate a variety of systems with just a few words. In addition, the voice receiver is mounted within the RV to allow for utilization throughout the unit.
“Our ideas are bigger than the technological capabilities we have at the moment. But we look forward to adding more and more,” said Mike Alpin. “Functions like this aren’t possible without the dedication and hard work from the whole luxury fifth wheel team.”
Jayco will introduce more commands to JayVoice to make the product more scalable, the company said.
Jayco JAYCOMMAND
The JAYCOMMAND system already put RVers in control of their unit, Jayco said. Prior to JayVoice, the system was custom-built by the Jayco product development teams along with various supplier partners, so owners can monitor and control key RV operations from a phone or a tablet. Paired with the new JayVoice system, RVers can now voice command these functions to occur or still have the freedom of utilizing their phone or tablet while away from the coach.
