Camp Cedar welcomes guests to cottages and full-service RV spaces, less than a mile from the amusement park.
The much-anticipated Kings Island Camp Cedar has now opened, located less than one mile from Kings Island amusement park. The Camp Cedar campground welcomes park visitors, families, vacationers and recreational vehicle (RV) travelers to a luxury outdoor resort and camping experience unlike any other, according to a Business Wire press release.
The all-new Kings Island Camp Cedar features 184 full-service RV spaces and 73 cottages available in five different configurations. One hundred additional cottages planned. RV camping spaces include bathhouses, laundry facility, firepits, grills and picnic tables.
“We are thrilled to welcome guests to this very special, first-class, overnight, entertainment destination,” said Terrie Zajo, Camp Cedar general manager. “People are traveling again and seeking out destinations where they can escape the grid, connect with loved ones and have fun. Camp Cedar offers all of that and so much more.”
Additional amenities and entertainment include golf cart rental, walking trail, and dog park. A children’s play structure, bocce ball and shuffleboard court are planned for later this summer. A complimentary shuttle will take guests to and from neighboring Kings Island amusement park, with exclusive resort perks and packages available for those bundling the two destinations into one.
The $27 million, sprawling outdoor resort is located on what was previously 50 acres of vacant land. It is projected to welcome more than 200,000 guests annually. More than 100 jobs have been created.
