Before heading out on that first RV trip of the spring, be sure to check your house batteries. Your rig’s power cells can lose as much as 10 percent of their life while in storage, so be sure they’re fully charged and functioning properly before hitting the road.

A ducted air conditioning system evenly circulates air through an RV using a series of vents, fans and ducts. Conversely, a nonducted system simply blows cool air into the cabin directly connected to the A/C unit itself. Because a ducted system is more efficient and effective, it is the preferred option for larger motorhomes and trailers.
