Sleek, modern, and filled with some surprisingly upscale amenities, the Forest River Teleos looks like a promising new option in the highly competitive travel trailer space. So much so that we included it on our list of favorite new rigs that we saw at the recent Hershey RV show. First revealed at a special sneak preview event held by Forest River back in August, the Teleos looks to be a new entry into the premium towable space, a market Forest River hasn’t competed in for some time. The 28′ trailer features an all-composite roof, floor, and sidewalls, which should give it long-term durability and better performance in a wide variety of temperatures. It also utilizes the Truma Saphir HVAC system, which is designed to hide under the bed, leaving the roof free from clutter and helping to maintain the rig’s sleek profile. An EcoFlow Generation 2 power system offers 800Ah of storage capacity, allowing it to run the A/C unit for 12 hours on a single charge. It even comes with special water hoses, rather than pipes, that are capable of freezing or expanding in different weather conditions without cracking or breaking.

Inside, the Teleos is just as smartly designed, with room to comfortably sleep four. The primary bedroom is located in the front of the trailer, where you’ll find a comfy queen-size bed, multiple storage cabinets and wardrobes, reading lights, and windows on three sides. A massive rear lounge serves as a place to gather, relax, work, and enjoy a meal. The couch converts to a second bed at night, giving owners the option to bring friends along on their travels. A midship bathroom includes everything you would expect, including a porcelain toilet, large shower, sink, illuminated mirror, and some cleverly integrated storage. The travel trailer’s kitchen is sandwiched between the living room and bathroom and is equipped with a suite of GE appliances. Porcelain countertops, with integrated InvisaCook induction burners, are a highlight, although the microwave, stainless steel sink with high-rise faucet, and 12V refrigerator are much appreciated touches, too.

The video above comes directly from Forest River and provides insights into how the Teleos was designed and built. It also provides excellent insights into everything that went into the trailer, which is quite a departure from the company’s other towables, which are often designed for budget-conscious buyers. As you’ll see, Forest River’s designers thought a little outside of the box on this one as they strove to build a new rig that delivers great performance in a package that is meant to appeal to buyers looking for an upscale experience without moving into a massive fifth-wheel or coach.
Pricing for the Forest River Teleos travel trailer has yet to be officially revealed, but the company recently told RV Business that it would cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $75,000– $90,000. Expect exact costs to be revealed soon, as this intriguing and enticing new RV finally gets its official launch in the next few weeks. Watch the Forest River website for further details.
