Truma Partners with Boreas Campers

A Line of Boreas Campers Will Utilize Truma Coolers and Dual Furnace Water Heaters

RV component supplier Truma last week announced a partnership with Boreas Campers. The partnership will see Truma’s cooler and Combi eco (a dual furnace and water heater) featured in Boreas’ XT-12 Hybrid campers.

The Combi Eco will provide heat and hot water to the XT-12, which adds to Boreas’ off-road capable line.

Because the Combi eco is both a furnace and water heater it saves both space and weight in motor homes. The 2.64 gal. (10L) water tank, which is also heated in winter, is integrated into the heating system. In summer mode users are able to heat water independently of the furnace.

“Overlander’s demand quality and reliability to allow them to take their trailers off the beaten path,” Truma Sales and Service Manager Dave Ricks said. “It’s great to work with a company like Boreas who understands the requirements of true off-grid camping. The XT-12 and Truma provide campers with a refuge to explore the open expanses of North America and return to rest and comfortably relax, regardless of the conditions.”

Truma has supported off-grid winter camping for 71 years; They see the partnership with Boreas as a continuation of this pledge.

“We enjoy enabling campers with the ability to enjoy the great outdoors year-round.” Hundsberger said. “Who says camping in the winter has to be a struggle? With Truma, you can expect comfort when you return home from hiking, skiing, or snowshoeing. The winter months are no longer a dead zone for campers to enjoy the empty national parks of the US and Canada.”
