It isn’t often that German RV manufacturer Niesmann+Bischoff unveils a new model, so when it does, you know it is something special. Such is the case for the just-announced Arto, a relatively compact vehicle with modern styling inside and out. As you would expect from N+B, the Arto is the epitome of luxury and class, offering an upscale experience that is surprisingly easy to drive.

The Arto rides on the Fiat Ducato platform, which is designed for use with commercial vehicles. It is available in ten unique floorplans and offers 215 square feet of living space. The RV comes in four- and six-wheeled versions and stretches 25.5 feet to 28.75 feet in length, depending on the model.

The vehicle’s exterior is sleek and modern looking, thanks in part to its glass fiber and reinforced plastic body. These materials help keep the Arto light and nimble on the road while maintaining durability. N+B says that the RV—including its roof— is scratch resistant. It also comes in several eye-catching color schemes, including green, blue, and carbon gray, with orange accents to help it further stand out from the crowd.

Inside, the Arto is bright and airy, with plenty of amenities. Custom oak cabinets and closets abound, with large windows and a skylight providing plenty of natural light. A comfortable dinette sits close to a small—but highly efficient—kitchen, complete with a sink, stove, and refrigerator. A surprisingly large bathroom includes a spacious shower, while the cozy bedroom suite features an elevated sleeping platform, built-in reading lights, and a queen-size bed.

Other intriguing features include a heating system that keeps the floors warm at all times and an insulated cabin that facilitates year-round camping. The Arto also has two built-in solar panels and a three-battery electrical system that allows it to stay off the grid for up to nine days before requiring a recharge. The RV can also be monitored and controlled using a smartphone app, delivering additional convenience to owners.

Despite its head-turning looks, built-in technology, and luxury-level amenities, the Arto is relatively reasonably priced. Niesmann+Bischoff says the RV starts at $92,300, making it a competitive and attractive option for buyers.
