Lance Camper has a long history of making some of the best slide-in truck campers on the market. In recent years, the company has also added high-quality travel trailers to the mix, including the rugged off-road Enduro model built specifically with overlanders in mind. Now, Lance is expanding its lineup even further with the introduction of an all-new towable designed to deliver exceptional value to buyers.

Dubbed the Squire by Lance, the new travel trailer’s moniker is a nod to the company’s long history. As a press release announcing the towable points out, Lance was originally named “Lancer” and used an image of an armored knight jousting on horseback as its logo. At one point, the brand even offered its truck campers at three different trim levels that, included the “Max,” “Legend,” and “Squire,” each of which differed in features and price. Now, the Squire branding has returned to adorn Lance’s latest model.

Compact and lightweight, the first Squire floorplan—the SQ19—is 19’ 2” long and tips the scales at just 4,380 pounds. That makes it towable by a wide range of vehicles, including mid-size trucks and SUVs. On its website, Lance describes the travel trailer as “Not too big. Not too small. Just right for the weekend warrior or the extended trip nomad.”

Don’t let the Squire’s size fool you, however, as it has plenty to offer first-time buyers and RV veterans alike. The unit is made with advanced manufacturing and construction processes, giving it excellent build quality and structural integrity. The entire camper is built to precision specs and includes components and hand-selected features to make this model as approachable and affordable as possible.

The SQ19 was designed with RVing couples in mind, offering a classic layout that includes a residential queen-size bed located in a walk-around sleeping space, a large corner shower, and a slide-out dinette. The nearby galley kitchen is outfitted with a three-burner gas stove, a large sink, a 12V refrigerator, and a range hood with an overhead light and fan. The trailer has plenty of onboard storage, too, with cabinets and closets throughout and a spacious pantry near the galley. The dinette also converts into a bed, allowing the towable to comfortably sleep four.

The Squire rides on a custom-built low-alloy prime steel chassis and Goodyear radial tires. It offers connections for dual five-gallon propane cylinders and comes with 45-gallon fresh, gray, and black water tanks. LED lighting is found inside and out, and the trailer is prewired for solar and lithium house batteries. Optional add-ons include an electric awning, a 24” smart TV, keyless entry, and 400W solar panels. An all-season weather package is also available for owners looking to camp all year round.

The Squire by Lance SQ19 is available now, with a second floorplan—the SQ26—coming soon. Specific pricing has yet to be announced, but Lance emphasizes that this will be an affordable option. For more information, visit the company’s website.
