Travel Trailer Review: Winnebago Voyage 3033BH

Image Caption:

A fresh entry into the travel trailer market, the 2020 Winnebago Voyage was designed with customer feedback in mind, according to the company. The new line offers two bunkhouse models among its five family-friendly trailers, including the well-equipped 33-foot 3033BH.

In the front bedroom, Mom and Dad will find plenty of storage space, a queen bed (or optional king) and a pair of windows.

The 3033BH features a separate master bedroom up front that comes standard with a queen-size bed; a walk-around king bed is an option. In the rear, next to the bathroom, the kids will sleep comfortably in the large 54-by-74-inch corner bunks, each with a window.

Galley & Storage

From the moment you walk into the Voyage 3033BH, the upgrades are apparent. Start with the walk-in closet that can also serve as a pantry, cleverly hidden behind the entertainment center near the main entrance. Families are often looking for storage space for shoes, coats and gear, and Winnebago nails it with this new component.

Winnebago also received feedback that families are seeking larger refrigerators, and the company answered that call by offering a massive four-door, 12-cubic-foot fridge as an option on the Voyage line. The standard 8-cubic-foot fridge allows room for another pantry.

The residential-style kitchen sports an attractive backsplash above the white solid-surface countertops, a large undermount sink and a tall faucet with a built-in sprayer. Glass-front cabinets brighten the space, contrasting the coffee-colored wood cabinetry.

From the fireplace to the refrigerator, each element of the 3033BH has been thoughtfully considered to appeal to families.

Living Area

Families get to make a lot of choices when equipping their 3033BH. Choose from a sofa with chaise lounge, a pair of theater-style recliners with cupholders, or the standard trifold convertible sofa for the main seating. The booth dinette can be replaced by a freestanding table and four chairs. All of the seating is located in a large slide, surrounded by four windows that open up the space and let in natural light and fresh breezes.

Across from the seating is the entertainment center, which comes standard with a 5,000-Btu fireplace and 43-inch swing-mount television. A wireless charging station is an unexpected but handy feature.

Buyers can take their pick from a variety of furniture configurations for the seating and dining areas.

A porcelain toilet, solid shower enclosure and built-in medicine cabinet make the bathroom feel residential.

Notable Equipment & Features

For families adventuring throughout the year, the heated, enclosed underbelly and pass-through storage space will be appreciated. Solar prep and large tanks (50 gallons fresh, 50 gallons black and 100 gallons gray) make off-the-grid camping accessible. Winnebago now offers a three-year structural warranty.

Exterior Storage Space

The drop-frame design of the Voyage 3033BH provides more places for Winnebago to tuck in extra storage. Towable by many suitably equipped half-ton pickups, the trailer has a 10,400-pound gross vehicle weight rating and a hefty 2,800-pound claimed cargo capacity.
