If you’ve ever been asked, “What is an RV?” and struggled to provide an answer, we have just the video for you. The clip above does an excellent job of describing what defines a recreational vehicle and what makes them unique. While much of this won’t exactly be new to anyone who has owned a camper before, it certainly makes it certainly makes it easier to answer that question from our non-RVing friends.

According to the video, all RVs fall into three categories—motorhomes, towables, and truck campers. Each has its own unique characteristics that make them appealing to customers. The clip even does a good job of explaining the difference between Class A, B, and C models, as well as travel trailers, fifth-wheels, and pop-ups. It even takes a brief look at slide-in truck bed models and why they appeal to a subset of buyers.

The video is a good primer for anyone new to RVing or considering purchasing their first model. It helps define some of the basic terminology that veteran RVers use to describe the different types of campers and explain the appeal of each style. It also gets to the heart of why these vehicles are so popular, giving owners a tiny home on wheels that they can take with them wherever they want to go.
