Want to add a dash of adventure to your life? Are you looking for an RV that can go practically anywhere and serve as a mobile basecamp along the way? Then look no further than the 2024 Jayco Terrain, a Class B camper van designed for those with an active lifestyle that appreciate comfortable amenities at the campsite.

Built on the Mercedes Sprinter 2500 platform, the Terrain is an all-wheel-drive vehicle built to travel on and off-road. The van comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission paired with a fuel-efficient 2.0L four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 211 horsepower and 332 ft.-lb. of torque. Heavy-duty JRide Koni shocks, a rear stabilizer bar, and all-terrain BFGoodrich tires ensure a smooth ride, even after leaving the pavement far behind.

Designed for four-season camping, the Terrain comes equipped with a 13,5000 BTU air conditioner and a Timberline hydronic heating system complete with LED touchscreen controls. Heated gray tanks and an interior-mounted freshwater tank give the van additional protection from cold conditions, while screen doors and windows ensure bug-free ventilation during the warmer months.

The Terrain’s exterior features include a Carefree armless patio awning with built-in LED lights and a wind sensor. A fold-down table extends living space to the outdoors, where additional LED lighting can be found on the vehicle’s running boards and holding tank valves. A double roof rack expands the van’s capacity for carrying extra gear, while a 200W roof-mounted solar panel feeds power to a 210 amp-hour lithium battery bank.

Inside, the Class B camper features a fully removable and adjustable table and a pull-out kitchen countertop and pantry that provide ample space for meal prep. Appliances include a portable induction stove, a mini-fridge, and a stainless-steel sink. The sleeping quarters come courtesy of a powered drop-down bed located above the spacious gear garage, while the Terrain’s onboard wet bath features a shower and cassette toilet. An Aqua View SHOWERMI$ER water management system comes factory installed to help conserve water while camping off-grid.

Other notable features include a built-in Starlink satellite internet receiver, a removable wireless Bluetooth speaker, and LED ceiling lights throughout the cabin. The van utilizes the Mercedes MBUX infotainment system for navigation and audio playback but also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A tire-pressure monitoring system comes standard, as does rain-sensing windshield wipers, active lane-keep assist, and a full 360º camera system for added safety when backing up or parking.
