RV OEM parts and accessories manufacturer Truma has announced its second annual Spring Clean-Up Event. The 2022 edition will coincide with Earth Day—which takes place on Friday, April 22—in Elkhart, Indiana, where the company’s North American headquarters is located.
In an announcement for the event, Truma North America CEO Gerhard Hundsberger said, “As members of the RV community, we are passionate about preserving and protecting our environment for future generations, and there is no better place to start than right here in our own backyard.”
Truma looks to build on the success of its inaugural clean-up event in 2021, which saw employees collect more than 150 bags of trash from Elkhart County roadways. In order to do that, the company is inviting RV OEM brands based in the region to join the effort. By mobilizing other members of the industry, Truma hopes to have an even bigger impact on the environment in year two.

On the date of the Spring Clean-Up Event, volunteers will gather at Truma HQ—located off County Road 6 in Elkhart—where they will receive their location assignments. Event organizers will provide a safety briefing before starting and will hand out high-visibility safety vests and work gloves. Afterward, Truma will host a volunteer dinner from 5:00-7:00 PM.
Individuals or companies interested in participating in the 2022 Spring Clean-Up Event are encouraged to email [email protected] for more information. The deadline for signing up is Wednesday, March 23.
