Magnificent Monroe

Situated at the intersection of Interstate 20 and U.S. State Route 165, Monroe rivals bigger cities with its selection of restaurants and stores. Shoppers can hit the store in the largest shopping mall in northern Louisiana, Pecanland Mall. In the town’s famous Antique Alley, lovers of vintage goods can acquire furniture, toys, art, and other items from yesteryear.

The town’s restaurants serve up the best that the Pelican State has to offer. The Catfish Sierra at Warehouse No. 1 Restaurant serves up a filet of broiled catfish that has inspired rave reviews. At Trapp’s, diners munch on Mom Bourque’s Seafood Nachos as they enjoy sunset views on the nearby Ouachita River.
