The Greatest Generation RV Trip

Originally Published in Trailer Life Magazine

Through a project called “Vets Roll,” eight donated RVs and two charter buses will take 128
World War II veterans to Washington, D.C., at no cost to the veterans. Mark and John
Finnegan, owners of Finnegan’s RV
Center
in South Beloit, Wisconsin, are sponsoring this road trip, something their
father never had a chance to do. “This is just a small, small way of thanking them for
everything they did for our country,” said Finnegan. The first departure is May 17. The
vets will visit the new WWII memorial, and since they will all be traveling together on the
road, they will have a lot of time to share war stories along the way. Finnegan estimates
the trip will cost $100,000 and hopes donations will cover it. To make a donation,
