Chevrolet and Kawasaki/Fox Racing helped design a special Silverado pickup truck introduced
at this year’s SEMA show. The Fox Silverado should be of great interest to trailerists
since it provides tool storage in both box side walls and has a built-in Auragen 5,000-watt
generator. The truck is powered by a 6.0-liter Vortec V-8 engine with a Whipple
Supercharger that produces 429 horsepower and 530 lb-ft of torque. Gibson exhaust headers
and Flowmaster mufflers add performance. Power goes to all four wheels via an H-D
four-speed automatic transmission. The four-door crew cab Fox Silverado’s floor and seat
materials can be easily cleaned with a garden hose. Assisting the driver is an in-dash
Delphi GPS unit, and OnStar controls are integrated into the rear-view mirror.
Additionally, dual sunroofs create an open-air riding experience for all passengers. The
electrochromic rear-view Gentex mirrors automatically dim when a vehicle approaches from
the rear. The Gentext mirrors also feature integrated turn-signal indicators.
