Silver Still Most Popular Paint Color

According to PPG Industries, silver is once again the most popular paint color for
vehicles, covering 27 percent of all new 2004 vehicles. That’s up 3 percent from 2003. Red
and white tie for second place with 14 percent, and black is third at 13 percent. PPG says
12 percent of 2004 models are blue; 11 percent are neutral colors such as beige, and 5
percent are green. Silver is also the most popular color around the world.
