The Recreation Vehicle Safety Education Foundation (RVSEF) has completed work on its RV
Safety Education Program. According to John Anderson, RVSEF executive director, and A’Weigh
We Go founder, the new safety package is the culmination of two years of work and an
investment of more than $250,000. The package is a self-paced program, with nine
easy-to-read handbooks, supplemented with a two-hour VHS video. Developing checklists and
pre-planned procedures, such as emergency escape plans, is a key ingredient in the program.
Nine subjects include weight, tires, driving, towing, fire, propane, motor fuels,
electrical and personal safety. The package may be purchased on the RVSEF website
(rvsafety.org), by mail or by fax (423-257-4623), or at the RVSEF booth at rallies.
