When we traded in our 2001 Winnebago Suncruiser for a 2007 Winnebago Journey, we were thrilled. It has two slides instead of one, a washer and dryer, a double-door refrigerator and a diesel engine. Wow! However, on the new floorplan the entrance door is in front of the passenger seat, instead of behind it. When the door is closed, so is the screen door, so you are looking through the screen to see out the window.
On our first cross-country trip we discovered we could not see the scenery well enough to take pictures through the screen door. It was also hard to enjoy the scenery. When we returned home my husband had a great idea. He looked in the phone book and called a local mobile screen company, which came out to our home and installed a window screen that retracts up like a roller shade.
Now we have a crystal clear view out our entry door. When we are parked and want to leave the entrance door open we simply pull the screen back in place.
The cost was about $175 and was well worth every penny.
