Joining RV owners on the road this fall and winter are a growing number of RV renters.
According to Cruise America Inc., Mesa, Arizona, the nation’s largest renter of RVs,
domestic leisure rentals are up 20 percent over the past six weeks. El Monte RV, Santa Fe
Springs, California, the second-largest U.S. rental company, reports a 30 percent increase.
The upward trend is expected to continue during the holiday seasons. Cruise America
projected a 40-50 percent increase in rentals over Thanksgiving. During the Christmas
holidays, El Monte RV predicts a 67 percent increase.
