Roadtrek Introduces Ranger RT

Originally Published in MotorHome Magazine

The latest addition to Roadtrek Motorhome’s lineup of Class B camper vans not only boasts a lower price point and lighter weight, but an environmentally sensible enhancement as well.

The new Ranger RT, designed to use only electricity and gasoline, excludes propane to allow for simplified van systems that are easier to operate, require less maintenance and burn fewer fossil fuels. When not connected to shorepower, run the refrigerator, two-burner stove, microwave oven and water heater – all 110-volt – with the dual large capacity auxiliary batteries through an improved electrical system with 1,250-watt power inverter. The power-efficient, compressor-driven Norcold fridge stays cold without propane and is thermostatically controlled.

The Ranger RT offers a separate front dining area.

A propane option including tank, stove and furnace is available for those who require ample space heating or extensive stove use while dry camping. A built-in generator is available. Roadtrek’s respect for the environment continues with the use of water-based exterior paint and reduced use of wood resources.

Ideal for two but accommodating for four, the Ranger RT has forward-facing seating in the captain chairs and rear sofa. Convert the sofa into a king-size bed or twin beds for sleeping. The midsection houses the permanent bathroom with sink and sit-down shower, and up front is a separate dining area.

The Ranger RT is powered by a 4.8-liter SFI gas V-8 engine and has a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 8,600 pounds.

The Ranger RT starts at $72,800 and is now in production.
