Porsche, VW Recall SUVs Porsche and Volkswagen will recall Cayennes and
Touareg SUVs because of a safety problem. The recalls involve more than 40,000 Cayennes and
60,000 Touaregs. The rear seat belts have pins that could vibrate loose and cause a belt
failure. Dealers will inspect and repair vehicles for free. Dodge Recalls SUVs,
Pickups Dodge is recalling approximately 320,000 Durango SUVs and Dakota pickups
for a potential safety hazard in the windshield wipers. The National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration states that water can get into the windshield-wiper motor on some of the
affected vehicles. This may lead to corrosion and wiper malfunction. Vehicles involved are
2002-2003 Durangos and 2002-2004 Dakotas. Dealers are to replace the front windshield wiper
module at no cost to owners.
