Recalls Issued for Ford/Mercury

Ford’s revamped Freestar/Monterey minivans are being recalled due to defects in wheel hubs.
The first recall will cover 35,401 Ford Freestar minivans and 4,630 Mercury Montereys. The
2004 model-year vehicles can suffer wheel-hub cracks. Ford also announced a recall of
approximately 1,700 F-Series trucks from the 2004 model year. This recall involves the
seams of the truck’s fuel tanks. Owners should contact their dealers to see if their
vehicles are included in the recall, if they don’t receive recall notices.
