Quantum Leap

Part of the full-timing lifestyle is spending quality time with friends and family.
However, when those guests spend the night, it can often mean a rough night’s sleep. Most
fifth-wheel manufacturers position the bathroom in the master-suite area so your bedroom
can become public domain when nature calls. That’s why Fleetwood’s Quantum 365BSQS
fifth-wheel puts a well-appointed bath area on the main floor, leaving the master suite a
private affair. “We’ve featured this floorplan in a previous product, the Terry Quantum
AX6,” says Ken Biddle, product-development manager for Fleetwood. “It was such a popular
seller, we carried it over to our Quantum fifth-wheel line and enhanced it with an
available washer/dryer option.” The Quantum is at the high end of Fleetwood’s fiver lineup,
which also includes the entry-level Advantage and mid-level Regal. The 365BSQS is just one
of 10 floorplans available (the 345BHTS interior is pictured) and was designed with
entertaining in mind. The rear of the trailer features a large living area with opposing
slides, the streetside houses a sofa bed and an 8-cubic-foot refrigerator and slideout
pantry as well. Curbside is another large slideout with a four-place dinette and a pair of
swivel chairs divided by a small table. All the way at the rear is a 27-inch flat-screen
CRT TV, an RCA AM/FM/CD/DVD entertainment system and an optional electric fireplace.
Time-saving conveniences include a central-vacuum system, an Atwood 10-gallon fast-recovery
water heater and an Excalibur XT two-stage furnace that generates high BTUs to get the room
up to temperature, and then reduces output to keep the desired temperature. In the kitchen,
an Apollo convection oven helps cut the average cooking time of prepared foods in half. The
bath area features a corner shower with glass enclosure and a lav with a mirrored medicine
cabinet and toilet. Another small sink is located in the roomy master suite. A queen bed
and vanity are located in the streetside slideout, and a wardrobe, entertainment center and
another optional fireplace are in the opposing slide. A large dresser stands at the foot of
the bed, and there’s another large wardrobe up front. Fleetwood offers many additional
options, such as a king-size bed; a 12-cubic-foot, side-by-side refrigerator; dual-pane
windows; Ultraleather furniture and Anderson Walnut cabinetry with Clear Oak standard. You
can also choose a MOR/ryde suspension and pin box. Fleetwood Enterprises Inc., (800)
