Porsche Cars of North America, the official importer of the marque in the United States,
has created a grant program called Cayenne Crossing to donate funds for the restoration of
historic roads and off-road trails. The first restoration project is Clark’s Grade, near
Big Bear Lake in Southern California. A portion of historic Route 66 will be the next
restoration. The multimillion-dollar grant program, which is named after Porsche’s new
Cayenne Crossing sport-utility vehicle, is expected to expand nationwide during the next
few years.
