NuWa To Restart Trailer Production

Originally Published in Trailer Life Magazine

In these difficult economic times, it’s refreshing to hear good news. NuWa has announced
that it has reconsidered the decision to end production of HitchHiker trailers and will
start building a reduced number of 2010 models beginning in June 2009. NuWa officials said
it will be a smaller company, and will focus even more on product reliability and customer
service. NuWa will have fewer dealers and these will be selected for their commitment to
HitchHiker trailers and customer service. NuWa will also begin to offer retail sales at the
factory, although it added that prices won’t undercut dealer’s prices. Factory service and
parts departments will be relocated to the main NuWa plant and expanded and dealers may be
able to arrange factory delivery to customers who want to save freight and take a trip to
visit the factory. Suggested retail prices of all units will be reduced significantly and
all NuWa factory outlets will sell at the same cash price, although there will be slight
differences due to shipping and dealer prices for customer orientation and unit prep.
Approximately 175 unsold 2008 and 2009 HitchHikers are said to remain in dealer and factory
inventory. The 2010 models will not significantly change in appearance from 2009 models.
The factory will begin to offer retail sales of remaining inventory in mid April. Not all
2009 floorplans will be available as 2010 models, and some models will not be available
until Fall. Visit www.nuwa.com. The
factory sales department is available by e-mail at [email protected] or by phone at (800) 835-0676.
