NuWa Industries Inc., Chanute, Kansas, will begin production of a line of four towable
sport-utility RVs (SURVs) to complement its Stow-A-Wa fifth-wheel line that debuted earlier
this year. “We are seeing customers with a lot more all-terrain vehicles that they want to
get out and use,” said NuWa President Neil Ford. The living area of the Stow-A-Wa
fifth-wheel SURV remains at 24 feet, while the cargo area increases in 2-foot increments as
the trailers increase in overall length from 30 to 38 feet. Standard features include a
queen-size bed, bathroom with a shower/tub, and a kitchen with a refrigerator, sink,
two-burner stove and booth dinette. The trailer’s back-bay door folds down to serve as a
low-profile 7-foot ramp. The new travel-trailer line will range between 24 and 30 feet and
contain 11 feet 8 inches of living space. Retail prices for Stow-A-Wa trailers are in the
upper $20,000 range, according to the company.
