The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has asked vehicle manufacturers to improve
the safety of their largest passenger vans. It has also asked the National Highway Traffic
Safety Administration (NHTSA) to add the vans to its pending rollover tests. The NTSB is
concerned that the 15-passenger versions of the large vans are more susceptible to rollover
accidents. It called on automakers to determine how to improve technology in the vans to
prevent injuries.
