The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) released reports on the Ford
Ranger 4×4 pickup truck that indicate it received only two stars in NHTSA’s rollover
ratings, which is the lowest of ten 2005 pickups tested. Mazda’s B-Series earns the same
rating because it is the Ranger’s twin. Ford thinks NHTSA is using faulty methods to
predict the chance of a rollover.
