NHTSA Launches DaimlerChrysler Investigations

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has opened an investigation of
2000 Dodge Dakota pickup trucks because of possibly faulty brakelights and cruise control.
NHTSA has received three reports of problems, and no reports of injuries or crashes.
Another investigation involves 124,826 1994-95 Jeep Wranglers with manual transmissions.
NHTSA has received 11 complaints that the parking brake failed and caused the vehicle to
roll away. There were seven reports of crashes, none of them involving injuries.
