More than 100 national parks that usually charge entrance fees will offer three fee-free
weekends this year, and the first free weekend is scheduled in April. Entrance to all 392
national parks will be free during the following weekends:
- April 17-25, 2010 (National Park
Week) - September 25, 2010 (Public Lands Day)
- November 11, 2010 (Veterans Day)
A number of the national park concessioners are also welcoming visitors on the fee-free
weekends with the their own special offers. Keep in mind that many national parks never
have entry fees, so you can plan inexpensive visits year-round! For more information, visit
