Originally Published in Trailer Life Magazine

The Shelburne Museum in Shelburne, Vermont, recently opened a new exhibit called “American
Wanderlust: Taking to the Road in the 20th Century.” The exhibit, which ends October 27,
covers the period from 1900 to the present.

It features travel memorabilia, theme displays,
oral history recordings, and video presentations to show the role of recreational vehicles
in American culture.  The exhibit includes fully restored RVs, such as a 1947 Branstrader
trailer, a 1923 Auto Kamp trailer, a 1938 covered-wagon camp trailer, and others.
