We watched in awe as glass artist Brian Heikes molded and shaped another handmade marble, applying heat with a torch set at 1,800 F, twisting the glass spheres, adding color and forming another one-of-a kind marble. The whole process takes about 15 minutes, but isn’t finished there. It is placed in a kiln, set at 950 F and set out overnight to cool. In the morning, the colors will be true, and the marble ready for market.
