Mercedes-Benz is introducing its latest Bluetec clean-diesel technology with the new E320
Bluetec.
It is being offered to California buyers, in addition to buyers in seven other
states; New York, Maine, Massachusetts, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Pennsylvania
follow California emission standards.
Bluetec E320s soon will be available in the 50
states. In the first half of 2007, Mercedes introduced three turbodiesel SUVs.
Next year,
Mercedes plans to offer Bluetec versions of the ML, GL and R-Class in all 50 states.
Turbodiesel SUVs offer high torque at low rpm and good fuel economy.
