Manufacturers Offer RVs With Four Slideouts

While three-slideout RVs have been available for a number of years, some manufacturers have
introduced units for 2002 that feature four slideouts. Gulf Stream Coach, Travel Supreme
and Newell offer motorhomes with four slides, and NuWa Industries has introduced a
fifth-wheel trailer with four slides. Towable RVs, unlike motorhomes, cannot exceed 400
square feet of interior space, or they would be classified as manufactured homes and would
be required to satisfy a different set of standards. The NuWa Champagne Edition 35-foot
fifth-wheel trailer with four slideouts has 380 to 390 square feet of interior space.
Manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $68,000. The four-slideout RVs made their debut at
the RV industry’s National Trade Show in Louisville, Kentucky.
