Coachmen is recalling 230 model year 2007-2008 Adrenaline Lite travel
trailers. The information provided on the certification and tire information labels
denoting the tire pressure is incorrect. Should the tires be inflated to the incorrect
pressure, it is possible that the tires could be overloaded and fail, increasing the risk
of a crash. Dealers will install the correct certification and tire information labels and
set the tire pressure to the required 65 PSI. The recall is expected to begin during June
2007. Recall 07V-200. Skyline is recalling 38 model year 2007 Nomad
Trailrider, Layton Rampage, and Aljo Freestyle toy-hauler travel trailers. The wiring
installed for an aftermarket generator is 14-gauge wire. The generator requires the use of
8-gauge wire. Using the generator could cause the wire to smolder, burn or the circuit
breaker to trip increasing the risk of a fire. Dealers will replace the 14-gauge wire with
8-gauge wire. Skyline is recommending that owners do not use the generator until this wire
has been replaced. The recall began on May 2, 2007. Recall 07V-202. Forest
River is recalling 188 model year 2007 Salem LE and Wildwood LE fifth wheel and
travel trailers equipped with Suburban three burner match light gas ranges. The oven
thermostat control valve can allow gas flow to the oven burner when the oven control knob
is pushed in and not fully in the correct position to light the pilot. If the oven control
knob was depressed for some time before lighting the pilot light, the excess gas in the
oven could cause a flash at the opening of the oven, possibly resulting in personal injury.
Forest River is working with Suburban to replace the oven thermostat control. The
manufacturer has not yet provided an owner notification schedule. Recall 07V-204.
Toyota Tundra Recall Is Possible Toyota’s latest quality problems might
result in a recall of the brand-new 2007 Tundra pickup trucks. Some owners of Tundras with
V-8s, which are popular as tow vehicles, have reported camshaft failures in their trucks.
Toyota says that it had logged 20 such complaints. The potential problem could affect as
many as 30,000 Tundras built at assembly plants in Indiana and Texas.
