Who says you can’t have luxury and a high towing capacity in the same vehicle? The Lexus LX
570 features a powerful new 383-hp, 5.7-liter V-8 engine that’s mated to a six-speed
sequential-shift automatic transmission for slick shifting. For plenty of hill-climbing
ability, the LX 570 produces 403 lb-ft of torque at 3,600 rpm, while providing a towing
capacity of 8,500 pounds. When stopped on an incline, Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) helps
prevent the LX from rolling backward when you step off the brake before accelerating.
Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) with Active Height Control (X-AHC) automatically raises
and lowers the LX to an optimal aerodynamic position, and allows each wheel to react to the
road surface and adjust ride comfort to your preference, regardless of speed or terrain.
Ultrasonic sensors, video and audio cues allow the available Intuitive Parking Assist to
help you navigate tight parking spots. The LX is also available with Dynamic Radar Cruise
Control, which detects vehicles traveling ahead, adjusting the speed of the LX to maintain
a pre-set distance. There’s even a Dual-swivel Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS), which
helps conquer night driving by pivoting the headlamps into turns. MSRP for the Lexus LX 570
starts at $73,800, plus $765 destination charge.
