When it comes to heading up a 7-percent upgrade in a fully loaded
motorhome, there’s no such thing as too much power. Coaches with
smaller-displacement engines are especially susceptible to the pull of
gravity.
According to Diesel Dynamics, however, owners of late-model
vehicles powered by 5.9L Cummins ISB diesel engines can dial in anywhere
from 65 to 100+ hp with just a simple switch of fuel injectors. By use
of a proprietary process that machines eight orifices into the injector
tips (stock injectors have seven), Jammer Injectors are said to deliver
more fuel while still maintaining proper fuel pressure. The manufacturer
also says the injectors – which are available in Stage 1 (65 hp), Stage
2 (up to 85 hp) and Stage 3 (100 hp) – offer better atomization, faster
fuel flow, enhanced spray angle and up to 1-½ mpg better fuel economy.
